I'm currently working on a semi-tutorial on cross-platform migration (a8ejoomla -> joomla) which should be done in another day or so. I'll post a link here as soon as we publish.

From Duvien's last posts:

"I have only packaged the full version (1.0.15) but this version can be used to upgrade any previous version of a8eJoomla by just overwriting your older installed version and then remove the installation folder. If you want to convert your Joomla to a8eJoomla, again just overwrite your Joomla installation with this one. You can also use this for a clean install as well."

That said, let me add a few caveats.

If you've got additional modules and components (beyond the default joomla included ones -e.g. banner, polls, etc.) Make sure you OVERWRITE and not Synchronize as you don't want to delete your existing stuff.

Remember to remove the install.php file in your root directory.

Also, DO NOT overwrite your configuration.php file (be safe and make a backup copy BEFORE you overwrite.)

Else, all should go smoothly...

best of luck.

Hi,
I can't overwrite my Joomla files because I use a translated brazilian portuguese version (frontend and backend).
I created a transformation upgrade package from 1.0.14 to 1.0.15 (alpha version), with a8e changed files some standard upgrade files which apparently works. This package was builded to upgrade from 1.0.14 to 1.0.15 version (standard or a8e version) and support this languages currently: brazilian_portuguese, english, dutch, german, spanishf and norwegian. To add a new language, translate a few lines in includes/language/validator.english.php.

I attached this upgrade package here. If you can verify and test will be helpful for all a8e community.

Regards.

Thank you Filipe, I've got your package and will test/verify as soon as possible. Appreciate your contribution as I'm sure others will too.
